Bio

A dedication to client satisfaction is the trademark of Dan’s professional sales career, which spans more than 25 years, following graduation from Purdue University.  He brings to his real estate profession an exemplary level of integrity, care and concern that is appropriate to the acquisition or sale of a home or a parcel of land. Based on a foundation of trust and good communication, he considers his client relationships to be both professional and personal.  The beginning of each relationship always starts with a clear understanding of his client’s wants, needs and expectations.

With an interest in home construction and a working knowledge of the infrastructure of homes, entering the real estate business was a comfortable and natural evolution for Dan.  This followed a career of technology related industrial and commercial sales and sales management.  Promotion related job opportunities took him toChicago, Dallas, Boston, Nashville and Indianapolis.  In 1990, Virginiabecame the Conquest’s adopted home state with management related moves, first to Roanoke and then on to Charlottesville.  Having traveled extensively on business throughout North America, Dan knows that Charlottesville and Central Virginia is a very special place to live.

Frequent family moves and multiple home purchases have given Dan sensitivity and a special understanding to the myriad of emotions and issues involved in a real estate transaction.  Highly organized, detail oriented and reliable, he works tirelessly for his clients to make the process go as smoothly as possible.  Quick to offer a smile and a greeting, Dan’s unassuming, cordial personality serves him well in his endeavor to be considered a valued real estate consultant, as well as a friend.

Married over 30 years to his high school sweetheart & Indiana University graduate – Sue Ann is Dan’s licensed REALTOR® partner, having “semi-retired” from her career as a  licensed Occupational Therapist, practicing geriatric rehabilitation.  Family activities are the centerpiece of Dan’s life outside of real estate.  The Conquests take great  pride in their family –  Jennifer,  UVA grad and “retired”  Red Hill Elementary School teacher, husband Stephen Turner – UVA grad & internal medicine physician at Augusta Health – their  young children – Lilly & Owen;   Christopher,  a James Madison University graduate – employed by consulting firm, Protiviti, Inc. in Northern Virginia.  Dog lover’s one and all,  their ever-faithful 13 year old English springer spaniel, Molly “Virginia Belle” is now a cherished memory . . . a  new family member “pup” is planned  for the future!

With relatives located from the Northeast to Florida to Texas, the Conquest’s list of favorite pastimes includes travel (with a passion for Atlantic Coast beach vacations),  dining out, shopping and reading – with a hearty cup of coffee in hand.  Physical fitness, music, cards and UVA sports are among other interests of Dan and his active, close-knit family.
