Piedmont Virginia Community College is a facility dedicated to the advancement of the community as a whole, as well as helping to provide opportunities to individuals. The Center for Workforce Training and Development is a program specifically geared toward training and expanding participants to use their education in the workplace. These programs are useful to those who have never held jobs before and need to know about everything from interviews to internet research as well as long-term employees of existing businesses who are looking to extend their skills.
Piedmont Virginia Community College also provides library service through the Jessup Library. This facility provides extensive materials both traditionally as well as on-line (see "local resources"), allowing community members easy access to a variety of media.
